Grow with Google Career Certificates
Get prepared for a career in technology! The EduTech career development and Google Career Certificate programs are FREE educational programs focused on preparing you to transition into an entry-level tech job. The programs, which use curriculum developed by Google, require less than 10 hours of self-paced learning per week for a 4 to 6 month period. Certifications are available in:
- Data Analytics
- IT Support
- Project Management
- User Experience (UX) Design
Learners in both programs will have access to educational supports such as access to a staffed computer lab at the Center for People in Need, volunteer mentors from local tech employers, additional classes to improve job-search skills, and course administration to keep you focused while learning at your own pace.
Participants in EduTech career development will also have access to social supports like basic needs distributions (food, diapers, clothing and household goods), gas vouchers, childcare vouchers, interview clothing stipends, and more to keep you focused on learning and help ensure your success!
EduTech applicants must meet the following requirements.
- Must be 19 or older and able to legally work in the United States.
- Must be a native English speaker with the ability to read at an 8th grade level OR a non-native English speaker with high-intermediate English language capabilities.
In order to receive any additional services provided by the Center for People,
you must earn at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines found below.

$27,180 for 1-person household, $36,620 for 2-person household,
$46,060 for 3-person household, $55,500 for 4-person household,
$64,940 for 5-person household, $74,380 for 6-person household,
$83,820 for 7-person household, $93,260 for 8-person household
(add $4,720 for each additional person).
