UBT announces $100,000 donation to the Center for People in Need.
Our community voted and the count is complete. Thanks to our generous donors, friends, clients and volunteers, the Center finished as one of the top three nonprofits in the large category of The Big Give.
The $100,000 donation from Union Bank and Trust will be used to provide diapers and baby wipes to thousands of young children in our community struggling with diaper need.
The Center distributes food and diapers at 3901 N. 27th Street six times each week—Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and an additional Tuesday evening distribution from 4 to 6 p.m.
Last month the Center provided food to 2,837 families and diapers to 934 children.
Families in need of food or diapers can visit the Center during regular distribution hours, complete a quick application and receive a selection of food and/or diapers, as needed. A paper application is available at the Center or you may complete an online application prior to visiting at cfpin.org/center-card.
