Drive-up and receive a bag filled with job information from Lincoln companies that are hiring now! Employers representing areas from manufacturing, office, construction, healthcare and more. Look for drive-thrus at Gateway Mall (63rd and O streets), Northeast High School (2635 N. 63rd Street) and F Street Community Church (1302 F Street) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 14, 2020.

Lincoln VITA Coallition is accepting tax preparation appointments virtually on their safe and secure website. Individuals and families can register for an appointment at vita.unl.edu/signup. Scammers are using this national emergency to steal thousands of dollars from unsuspecting victims. Legitimate businesses and organizations do not approach customers asking for personal information like social security numbers, bank account information, etc. A good rule of thumb: when in doubt, don't give it out!

Parents of English-speaking children entering the first or second grade this fall can earn up to $135 for participating in a year-long study with the Learning and Development Reseearhc Group at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. If you're interested in participating, visit ladr-unl.com.
If your child was on the free or reduced lunch program in Nebraska last school year, you could be eligible for Pandemic EBT - up to $281 per child. (If you're currently receiving SNAP, the benefits will automatically be distributed to you - no need for an application.) Benefits will be distributed in two installments, the first between July 28-31 and the second Aug. 15-19. The deadline to apply is July 19, 2020. NeighborLNK volunteers will run errands for the participants and offer companionship through phone or video calls. COVID-19 prevention measures will be followed and volunteers will not enter participants' homes. Sunday, July 19 is the last day to apply for P EBT.
We distribute food and diapers five days a week - Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. at our facility at 3901 N. 27th Street. You may only attend one distribution per week.
Here's a quick rundown of the precautions we have in place:
- Our lobby remains closed. Staff are still available to help over the phone or via email. Call 402.476.4357 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
- Drive-thru distribution will continue until further notice. For those who do not have a vehicle, walk-ups will be processed at Door 2. The limit is still 1 food distribution per week and 1 diaper distribution per month.
- Commodities will continue to be processed in the drive-thru.
- All Center programs and services other than food and diaper distribution and the POP Scholarship program are temporarily closed. This includes ELL, the Donation Room, TRADE, etc.
