Tackling Recidivism And Developing Employability
TRADE is a community re-entry program, supports individuals when they come out of state correctional facilities through the first eighteen months after their release. TRADE is funded by the Nebraska Department of Corrections. It is free to participants, who must have been or be incarcerated in a Department of Corrections facility in Nebraska (county jail does not qualify).
If you’re in the TRADE program, you can learn new work skills like warehouse operations, forklift training, computer skills, construction, and welding. TRADE is all about helping you find employment and getting re-established in the community. We assist with job fairs, employment applications, and more.
TRADE participants qualify for a Center ID Card and can use it to access food and other household resources for additional support in becoming financially stable.
