Volunteer Service

How to Start Volunteering:

Except for the special events discussed below, if you choose to volunteer with Center for People in Need there is no need to sign up prior to starting. When you are ready to begin just come to our facility, 3901 N 27th St, and check in at our Front Desk through Door 1. Our staff will direct you to someone who will help you get started and complete our volunteer orientation.  The time you spend completing our volunteer orientation will count toward your total hours of volunteering with us.

  • Always sign in and out using our electronic Volunteer Management System so we can account for your hours.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID such a driver’s license each time you come if you have one.
  • Scan your ID into our Volunteer Management System.
  • The system will maintain your information, but you will still need to use your ID to check in each time.
  • The system will automatically do an online background check. Once cleared (it only takes a few seconds) you can immediately start volunteering.

For any additional questions, please contact Ashton Juarez-Bundy, (402) 476-4357 Ext 116, or ajuarez@cfpin.org.
